Last night was a huge success. We had our monthly Girls’ Night Out + Patio Social event at Sands Harbor Resort & Marina. Beside the amazing ambiance, Sands provided a delicious signature Brazilian drink special: Caipirinha, plus $6 wine, $5 select beers & seltzers AND a special Brazilian menu to get the party started. Our amazing bartenders kept the drinks flowing. The evening weather was perfect for our outdoor patio social. The ‘A Wild Night in Rio’ theme was also a big hit and photographed so well. We swayed and danced to the tunes provided by Shane LeMar Entertainment. Be sure to reach out to them for help with your next family or corporate event. They provide more than just tunes.
Our Charity Spotlight was Mary Ann’s Foster Closet.
Children usually come into foster care with no more than a small bag of clothes that they can carry. More often than not, the items are too small, stained, and/or ripped.
Mary Ann’s Foster Closet was formed to provide foster parents and the children in their care with clothing, toys, furniture, and other necessities.
Mary Ann’s Foster Closet gives foster parents and relative caregivers have a place to come to get the items they need to meet the needs of the children in their care, at no cost to them.
We invited everyone to donate new swimsuits and rash guards for kids ages 0-12. Traci from Mary Ann’s Foster Closet was there to accept the donations. We heard so many of the ladies awwing over the cute swimsuits that were donated.
Another big element to our Girls’ Night Out event was having local women artisans and businesses exhibit their work. Be sure to keep these local businesses in mind when purchasing gifts. Shopping local and supporting other women helps make the world go around.

Charity Spotlight: In Jacob’s Shoes
The mission of In Jacob’s Shoes® is to provide new and gently used shoes, socks, backpacks, school supplies, and athletic gear to children in need living in South Florida.
We are asking everyone to bring a package of new socks for kids 0-18 years of age, if you can, to donate. In Jacob’s Shoes will be there to accept your donations.
What to expect:
~ The first 50 ladies to sign in get a Swag Bag full of goodies!
~ Giveaways from local businesses
~ Networking, socializing, cocktails & live music
