Maine Adventure

Check out this old picture in Rockland, Maine. We purchased the old, historical house, just to the right of the (pictured) barber shop (now Wasses Hot Dog).

It’s been completely redone into a gorgeous, coastal 2/2, with a 1/1 apartment on top. We’ve spent the summer furnishing the house to rent, thanks to Goodwill, Craigslist, FB Marketplace, The Salvation Army and random yard sales.

I’ll post the project pictures later, but I’ve learned how to build furniture, refinish furniture and have taken up sewing again – making curtains for 6 of our windows.

We have a few more projects to complete. Needless to say, we’ve been working hard and playing hard. Next, Scott and I plan to visit the historical society and find out the story of the house and give this jewel a proper name. Stay tuned.
