Intracoastal Waters now linked to Pier Street Promenade

The beautification project on North Riverside and NE 2nd Street, now includes a new lit crosswalk signal.

The lit crosswalk signal is located in front of the Sgt. Chris Reyka Memorial Park, on the Intracoastal Waterway, across from the Broward County Beach Branch Library and links to the Pier Street Promenade. The lit crosswalk signal is a welcome addition to the busy street for our pedestrians.

In addition to the new crosswalk signal, NE 2nd Street has been completely renovated with new sidewalks, palm trees, landscaping, and a colorful, blue paver crosswalk area with sand-colored swirls. Another bonus addition on NE 2nd Street is additional street parking.

The Sgt. Chris Reyka Memorial Park, also received an upgrade with a new walkway with gorgeous pavers, several new park benches, new palm trees, and landscaping.

The Pompano Beach Water Taxi sign is still there, with hopes of it returning soon.
